Company History
NJ Pro Home Improvements was officially established in 2021, but our experience in the construction industry dates back to 2001.
The company was founded by Juan Mendoza after years of working in construction alongside his brother-in-law. Together, they decided it was time to bring their skills, experience, and dedication directly to homeowners by providing dependable, high-quality home improvement services.
From the beginning, we specialized in a wide range of residential remodeling services, including drywall, painting, flooring, roofing, siding, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and insulation.
Over the years, we have continued to grow by learning new construction techniques, adopting modern building methods, and investing in better tools and equipment. Our goal has always been to provide customers with the highest quality workmanship while helping them make informed decisions throughout every project.
One of our biggest challenges has been helping homeowners who have a vision but are unsure how to bring it to life. We enjoy guiding our customers through the process, offering ideas and solutions that transform their homes into spaces they will enjoy for many years.
One of our proudest accomplishments was designing the exterior color scheme and completing the painting for a 280,000-square-foot shopping center in Pennsylvania. This project allowed us to transform the appearance of the property while showcasing the quality of our workmanship.
As our company has grown, we have expanded our services to include patios, framing, insulation, cabinet installation, and many other remodeling services.
Today, after more than 25 years in the construction industry, we have completed countless residential and commercial projects of every size. Our team brings more than 150 years of combined construction experience to every project we take on.
About the Owner
Juan Mendoza was born in Honduras and moved to the United States as a teenager. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in software development, student housing management, and general construction.
His construction career began while he was still in school, working part-time before moving into full-time painting and carpentry after graduation. Over the years, he expanded his expertise to include drywall, flooring, roofing, siding, remodeling, and complete home renovations.
Outside of work, Juan enjoys fishing and spending time on the water. He believes there is always something new to learn, and that mindset continues to drive both his personal growth and the success of the company.
Juan’s vision extends beyond completing projects. He wants to build a company that leaves a lasting legacy for his family while creating homes and spaces that people will continue to enjoy for generations. Every project represents an opportunity to build something meaningful that stands the test of time.

Although weather conditions and material availability occasionally affect scheduling, we communicate openly and work hard to complete every project as efficiently as possible.
